Unboxing the peripherals

Let’s start off with something trivial. Mouse and Joystick cleaning.

Joystick plug (9-pin D-Connector) shows some heavy wear and tear from my teenage years :)

The mouse.. uhhh

The Competition Pro is still in perfect shape, just had to wipe off some 20 year old dust. I love the sounds of the micro switches! Gives me instant childhood flashbacks. They are still on sale, btw. Good run.

The Logitech mouse looks better now and would need a bit of retrobrighting. However I won’t do that, because this model sucks (no clicky sounds, gah!) and I plan to buy an original Amiga (“tank”) mouse anyways and switch the mouse ball with a laser sensor mod.
